About me
My name is J. L. Cristallo, also known as Jennifer Lindana Cristallo. I am a software developer and tester, but I also have numerous other professions and hobbies. For example, I run the website www.yorkivilag.com purely for my own enjoyment. I love engaging in abstract, quiet, contemplative, and creative activities, including my passion for writing, which I have been pursuing for 14 years with occasional breaks.
I adore it—I don’t even know why. The thoughts just come to me, and I feel compelled to write them down and share them with others. It’s a mission, a love that never fades.
The fact that my first book has recently been published doesn’t mean that this is all I’ve written in 14 years—it simply means that there’s so much more waiting in my collection. I have only now decided to share and publish them with you.
I have more than 10 novels, over 30 volumes, and 10,000 pages behind me—some completed but in need of revision, some unfinished, and countless ideas still swirling in my mind. I’ve decided that this, too, is a dream I want to pursue. I’ve always wanted to be a writer, but in the past, I lacked the time, determination, and courage to share what’s inside me—to show you what I would say if I truly started writing.
Now, that time has come. Everything I’ve written so far will gradually be released, as I find the time and inspiration to refine them. Some of these works were written quite a while ago, so I want to polish them before I send them out into the world.
Expected book types: richly illustrated children’s books, novels for young readers, and a high fantasy series.
Most of my books are deeply woven with a love for nature and animals, a respect for freedom and life, and the ideals I hold—ideals that have little to do with societal expectations.
The world is full of wonders. The animals hiding deep in the forests, the migratory birds carried by the wind, the mysterious depths of the oceans—all are part of a vast story. I believe that nature is not just a backdrop that surrounds us but a living, breathing world worth exploring.
Through my writing, I want to make this exploration easier. In my tales and novels, I bring the world of animals and nature to life, allowing readers—both young and old—to become part of this wonder without even realizing it. This journey is not guided by dry facts or lessons, but by adventures, emotions, and stories that shape us in subtle ways.
What if you could see the laws of the wild through the eyes of a wolf? If you could follow a young researcher’s first expedition, where every step leads to a new discovery? Or if a child formed an unexpected bond with a special animal—one that teaches them something about life, not through lessons, but through the magic of the story itself?
Nature is not just a place where we live—it is a world we are a part of. Once we truly get to know it, we can no longer remain indifferent to it. My goal is for my books to do more than simply entertain; I want them to offer an experience that readers carry with them long after the last page. A thought, a feeling, a newfound desire to pay closer attention to the world around them.
Because nature has stories to tell—and I am here to help you hear them.
As you can see on the homepage, my website is available in multiple languages. This is no coincidence—I want to publish my books in several languages as well. Reaching a wide audience and sharing my stories with as many people as possible is important to me. I love languages and have studied quite a few; I speak English, German, Russian, and Swedish at various levels, with more languages in my repertoire. Hungarian, of course, is my native language.
There is something special and almost indescribable about the moment when a blank page fills with words. Writing a book is not just an activity—it is a gateway to another world, where the boundaries between imagination and reality blur, and where thoughts take on a tangible form.
Every story begins as a seed. A fleeting thought, a moment of inspiration, an image that takes root in the mind and refuses to let go.
Then, slowly, it begins to grow—characters are born, worlds take shape, adventures intertwine, and with every word, what was once just a fleeting spark in the writer’s imagination becomes more and more alive. Writing a book is both a challenge and a joy. Sometimes, the words flow effortlessly, as if guided by an unseen force; other times, every sentence is a struggle. But even in the hardest moments, there is a deep, unshakable love that always draws the writer back to the craft. Because there is no greater feeling than when a story comes together, when characters develop real personalities, and when a reader becomes fully immersed in the world the writer has created.
Writing is a kind of legacy. By putting thoughts on paper, a writer leaves a piece of themselves in the world—a story that can live on for generations, that can touch people’s lives, stir emotions, awaken memories, and inspire new ideas. A good book doesn’t just entertain; it teaches, comforts, inspires, and offers new perspectives.
For me, writing is also a way to express my love for nature and animals. I believe that the beauty of the world and the magic of nature can be shared through stories. I don’t aim to teach—not in the traditional sense, at least. Instead, I invite the reader on an adventure where forests, mountains, animals, and the wonders of nature tell their own tales. The best stories are those that impart knowledge without us even realizing it—where learning becomes an experience, and discovery turns into excitement.
This is why I write. Because I believe in the power of stories. Because every book is a new opportunity to touch someone, to inspire, to leave a mark. And because there is no greater magic than when a reader gets lost in a book and brings the words to life through their own imagination.
But now, let me tell you a little more about myself.
